GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Performs professional services in the field of podiatry in a County institution; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under supervision, the duties include the performance of professional services of a specialized nature and are subject to review by a physician.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Performs professional services for the proper care and treatment of the feet for inhabitants of the County Home for the Aged.
2.Cuts toe nails.
3.Treats and removes corns, callouses, bunions, etc.
4.Treats any superficial pathology or condition of the feet.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of podiatry.
2.Thorough knowledge of the methods and techniques relating to general foot care and treatment.
3.Ability to exercise sound professional judgment.
4.Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and associates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
1.Graduation from an approves School of Podiatry
and
Five years of satisfactory experience in the general practice of podiatry;
or
2.Satisfactory equivalent combination of training and experience.
