1. | Maintains, operates, and schedules the use of audio-visual equipment. |
2. | Designs, plans, and makes up mapboards, bulletin boards, flipcharts, and other visual aids. |
3. | Mounts statistical data and photographs for demonstrations. |
4. | Prepares special displays for educational or promotional purposes. |
5. | Keeps abreast of new developments in the field of exhibits, displays, and audio-visual equipment. |
1. | Considerable knowledge of audio-visual devices and equipment. |
2. | Knowledge of scheduling procedures. |
3. | Ability to design and develop visual aids. |
4. | Ability to operate and maintain audio-visual equipment. |
5. | Ability to maintain schedule files. |
6. | Ability to follow oral and written instructions. |
1. | Associate degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college with major course work in art; or |
2. | Graduation from high school, including or supplemented by successful completion of courses in art and display work and Two years of experience in planning, designing, and building exhibits and displays. |
NOTE: | Experience, as outlined above, in excess of the two year requirement may be substituted for high school on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years, providing satisfactory evidence of successful completion of courses in art and display work is submitted. |
