GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Leads and assists students in group discussions of drug abuse and other teenage concerns; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties require the exercise of considerable judgment leading and assisting students in group discussions of drug abuse and other teenage concerns.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Leads and assists students in group discussions of drug abuse and other teenage concerns.
2.Assists psychologist in group and individual discussions of problems of teenagers.
3.Provides information, guidance and counseling on drug abuse and related teenage concerns to youth and community groups.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Knowledge of various aspects of drug problems and teenage concerns.
2.Knowledge of group discussion techniques.
3.Ability to establish rapport with young people.
4.Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Completion of two years (60 credits) of study at a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university.
