GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Assists in planning, organizing, and administering the programs, operations, and maintenance of a swimming pool and adjacent buildings and grounds; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties involve the use of independent judgment in assisting in the supervision of subordinate personnel.

TYPICAL DUTIES
*1.Assists in planning, organizing, and administering swimming pool operations and maintenance.
*2.Assists in formulating and implementing programs of swimming pool activities.
*3.Supervises the activities of subordinates engaged in operating and maintaining swimming pool machinery and equipment and associated buildings and grounds.
*4.Makes inspections, enforces rules and regulations, and ensures safe and sanitary conditions of pool and premises.
5.Assists in the preparation and distribution of publicity and news releases of programs and activities.
*6.Maintains records and assists in the preparation of reports.

*TYPICAL ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Thorough knowledge of swimming pool activities, management, operation, and maintenance.
2.Thorough knowledge of pool safety rules and regulations.
3.Thorough knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and repair of pool machinery and equipment.
4.Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work of subordinate employees.
5.Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Graduation from high school,
and
Two (2) seasons of experience in the management of a swimming pool or conducting programs or activities at a swimming pool facility.

NOTE:Education obtained at a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university may be substituted for experience on a year-for-season basis.
