GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Supervises the operation of a public golf course and related facilities; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties require the exercise of independent judgment in supervising the operation of a public golf course and related facilities.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Supervises golf management personnel and the operations of a public golf course driving range and motor cart facilities, and related facilities.
2.Plans, organizes, and directs all maintenance and rehabilitation projects in conformance with various golf course standards.
3.Prepares budget for each facility.
4.Plans and coordinates the purchase of materials, equipment, and supplies necessary to the operation and maintenance of golf-related facilities.
5.Investigates golf-related complaints and recommends or takes appropriate action.
6.Interviews and directs the orientation of new golf personnel.
7.Enforces rules and regulations pertaining to use of course and its facilities.
8.Supervises upkeep and maintenance of greens and activities of caddies and caddie master.
9.Supervises the collection and record-keeping of greens fees.
10.Supervises daily operations of a full service country club including boat marina, tennis club, restaurant and catering services, where required.
11.
Develops membership and marketing strategies, as required.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Extensive knowledge of the operation, management, and maintenance of golf courses.
2.Extensive knowledge of the operation, management of a full service country club including boat marina, tennis club, restaurant and catering services, where required.
3.Considerable knowledge of golf course concessions.
4.Ability to supervise the activities of subordinate supervisory personnel engaged in all aspects of golf course activities.
5.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with associates and the public.
6.Ability to express oneself effectively, both orally and in writing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
1.Graduation from high school
and
Three years of satisfactory experience assisting with operations of a golf course, including one year of experience supervising subordinates involved in this work;
OR
2.Five years of satisfactory experience assisting with operations of a golf course, including one year of experience supervising subordinates involved in this work.
