GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Performs semi-skilled manual tasks; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under direct supervision, the duties are routine and the work is reviewed for completeness.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Assists skilled workmen as required.
2.Assists in well-drilling operations.
3.Assists in installing and maintaining signs.
4.Performs rodent control duties.
5.Performs unskilled manual tasks as required.
6.Assists in the stripping and capping of concrete cylinders.
7.Performs semi-skilled maintenance tasks.
8.Supervises seasonal employees as required.
9.Performs simple soldering, brazing or welding as required.
10.May install, maintain, and/or remove highway signs.

*TYPICAL ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Knowledge of the care and use of a wide variety of tools and equipment used in public works maintenance and construction.
2.Skill in the use of hand tools and equipment essential to the work performed.
3.Ability to assist skilled tradesmen in a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks.
4.Ability to learn a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks.
5.Ability to follow oral instructions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
One year of satisfactory experience in the performance of laboring duties.
