GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Participates in a clinical psychology internship program in a public clinic or institution; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under direct supervision, the duties require the exercise of independent judgment in applying clinical psychology techniques to patients in a hospital or clinical setting.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Administers, scores and interprets a variety of psychological tests.
2.Conducts interviews with children and adults to secure psychological data.
3.Attends conferences and lectures on the techniques of clinical psychology.
4.Participates in individual, couple, family and group therapy.
5.Performs research and gathers statistics and other psychological data.
6.Keeps records and prepares reports.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Knowledge of the principles and methods of administering, scoring and interpreting a variety of psychological tests.
2.Knowledge of mental illness and its symptoms.
3.Ability to learn the application of individual and group psycho-therapeutic techniques to patients in a clinical testing.
4.Ability to learn to establish and maintain rapport with emotionally and mentally handicapped children and adults.
5.Ability to perform research and to prepare oral and written reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Completion of sixty semester hours of graduate study in clinical psychology from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university.
