GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Implements and assists in developing youth programs for community service and assists in supervising subordinates; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties require the exercise of judgment in implementing and assisting in developing youth programs for community service.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1. Implements and assists in developing youth programs for community service.
2.Advises subordinates on ways to resolve problems and difficulties encountered in organizing and motivating youth groups.
3.Meets with community leaders to discuss community problems and develops plans with them to utilize youth groups in solving them.
4.Meets with local merchants and solicits materials, equipment, and supplies for volunteer youth group programs and projects.
5. 6. Prepares and maintains reports and records.
May supervise and coordinate the activities of subordinates as required.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Knowledge of groups leadership.
2.Ability to organize and motivate youth groups.
3.Ability to supervise subordinate workers and volunteers.
4.Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with youth groups, community organizations, subordinates, and the public.
5.Ability to prepare and maintain reports and records.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Completion of two years of high school education
and
Two years of satisfactory experience in developing and implementing youth programs for community service.
