1. | Prepares and measures ingredients for baking. |
2. | Bakes bread, cakes, pastries and biscuits. |
3. | Operates and uses baking equipment and utensils. |
4. | Prepares jello, puddings, custards and other desserts. |
5. | Supervises and instructs inmate food service workers. |
6. | Insures that all utensils and work areas are kept clean and orderly. |
7. | Inspects inmates for contraband and maintains security at all times. |
8. | Performs duties as a Correction Officer on a temporary basis, as required, at the discretion of the Sheriff or his designated officer. |
1. | Considerable knowledge of the materials, methods and equipment used in institutional baking. |
2. | Knowledge of general safety and sanitary precautions and regulations. |
3. | Ability to learn the use and care of firearms. |
4. | Ability to prepare a variety of baked goods and desserts. |
