GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Patrols a golf course to enforce rules and regulations relating to play on a golf course; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties require the use of judgment in performing routine tasks.

TYPICAL DUTIES

1.Patrols course, observes and corrects rule infractions, and prevents vandalism.
*
2.Regulates and speeds the progress of play, determines the cause of any unusual delay, and takes corrective action.
3.Checks players for evidence of payment of green fees; prevents poachers from entering golf course beyond starting tee.
*
4.Reports hazardous conditions and accidents.
5.Prevents sale of food and golf equipment by unauthorized persons.
6.Keeps caddie carts off aprons and greens, pulls in caddie carts and puts them away in a designated cart parking area.
7.Relieves starter during lunch and break periods, days off, and vacations.

*ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Knowledge of golf course regulations.
2.Knowledge of the game of golf, and of the causes of variations in playing pace.
3.Knowledge of playing hazards, and of applicable safety rules.
4.Ability to interpret and apply regulations.
5.Ability to patrol golf course and prevent unauthorized activities.
6.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
1.Graduation from high school;
or
2.One year of satisfactory experience as a golf ranger, or as a caddie master, or golf starter;
or
3.Two years of satisfactory experience as a golf caddie.
