GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Assists the Golf Course Manager IV in the operation of all County golf courses; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the position requires the use of independent judgment in assisting in the overall management of all County golf courses. The work is subject to review by the Golf Course Manager IV.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Assists in instructing subordinates in specific duties.
2.Assists in investigating complaints and takes appropriate action.
3.Assists in maintaining records on revenue derived from golf courses and other park facilities.
4.Assists in preparing reports on concessionaires.
5.Prepares reports on activities.
6.Participates in staff meetings.
7.Acts for subordinate Golf Course Managers, as required.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Thorough knowledge of the operation, management, and maintenance of golf courses.
2.Considerable knowledge of golf course concessions.
3.Ability to supervise the work of others.
4.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
5.Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Graduation from high school
and
Four years of responsible supervisory experience in the operation and management of a golf course.

NOTE:Experience, as outlined above, in excess of the four-year requirement, may be substituted for high school education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two years.
