GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Operates a nine-hole golf course at a large park facility; or assists in the operation of one or more nine- or eighteen-hole golf courses; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the position requires the use of some independent judgment in the operation and management of golf courses at a nine-hole facility or in providing assistance in all phases of County golf course operation at a nine- or eighteen-hole facility.

TYPICAL DUTIES

1.Supervises cashiers in the receipt and recording of fees and other monies.
2.Makes bank deposits.
3.Maintains petty cash fund.
*
4.Authorizes and issues rain checks.
*
5.Enforces golf course rules and regulations.
6.Supervises and expedites tournament play.
*
7.Disseminates information concerning golf course and park facilities.
*
8.Maintains records and prepares reports.
9.Maintains cursory supervision of pro shop, driving range, motor cart rental, food vending, and other related concessions.

*ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Thorough knowledge of golf course rules and regulations.
2.Considerable knowledge of the operation and management of golf courses.
3.Knowledge of golf course concessions.
4.Ability to supervise the work of others.
5.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
6.Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Graduation from high school
and
Five years of satisfactory experience supervising golfing activities, including two years in the management thereof.

NOTE:Experience, as outlined above, in excess of the five-year requirement, may be substituted for high school education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two years.
