GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Assists the Director of Golf Courses in directing and supervising the operation of all County golf courses; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties require the exercise of independent judgment in planning, organizing, and directing the activities of subordinate supervisory personnel.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.Supervises and is responsible for efficient management of golf courses.
2.Assigns and instructs subordinates in specific duties.
3.Investigates written and verbal complaints and resolves them with appropriate action.
4.Maintains records on revenues derived from golf courses and other park facilities.
5.Checks on County interests in concession operations such as, motor cart rentals, pro shop, driving range, food vending, and other related concessions.
6.Prepares activity reports.
7.Arranges tournaments and golfing events.
8.Participates in staff meetings.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Thorough knowledge of the operation, management, and maintenance of golf courses.
2.Considerable knowledge of golf course concessions.
3.Ability to supervise the activities of subordinate personnel engaged in all aspects of golf course activities.
4.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
5.Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Graduation from high school
and
Five years of responsible supervisory experience in the operation and management of a golf course.

NOTE:Experience, as outlined above, in excess of the five-year requirement, may be substituted for high school education on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years.
