GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Performs a variety of skilled maintenance and tasks; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the use of judgment and skills in performing a variety of skilled maintenance activities and the work is reviewed for accuracy and completeness. The position may also require the exercise of limited supervision.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.
Repairs and adjusts machinery and equipment.
2.
Repairs and adjusts automotive and related equipment.
3.
Repairs doors and furniture; installs partitions and performs other carpentry work.
4.
Paints interior and exterior of buildings, fixtures, and other equipment.
5.
Repairs walls, foundations, and walks; performs other masonry work.
6.
Installs and maintains plumbing fixtures; maintains steam lines.
7.
Prepares openings and measures, cuts, installs and secures glass and glass substitutes in buildings and equipment.
8.
Installs and maintains steam boilers; repairs and adjusts refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
9.
Installs and maintains electric circuits, lighting fixtures, and electrical equipment.
10.
Performs a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks as required.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment used in a variety of trades.
2.Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in a variety of trades.
3.Ability to perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks.
4.Ability to interpret and work from sketches and diagrams and to follow oral and written instructions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
1.Completion of a satisfactory course or training program
and
Four years of satisfactory experience in general maintenance and repair activities;
or
2.Satisfactory equivalent combination of training and experience.
