1. | Performs departmental administrative work in the Office of the Medical Examiner. | ||
2. | Carries out all necessary functions associated with the Office of the Medical Examiner personnel program. | ||
3. | Assists in compilation and preparation of budget information and estimates, fiscal and statistical reports. | ||
4. | Participates in procurement activities. | ||
5. | Monitors contractual services and recommends appropriate actions, as required. | ||
6. | Conducts research and prepares detailed and comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations. | ||
7. | Interviews applicants; makes selections for appointing officers. | ||
8. | Advises employees on health insurance, retirement and other employee benefits, wages and salary; arranges for medicals. | ||
9. | Performs public relations and liaison duties. | ||

11. | Reviews and edits reports and decisions issued by the department. | ||
12. | Assists in establishing operational methods and procedures, and in coordinating the services of the Office with other county, state, public and private agencies. | ||
13. | Supervises subordinate personnel, as required. | ||
14. | Represents the Chief Medical Examiner on Human Resources matters., as required. |
