GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Participates in a planned training program covering all aspects of health services administration; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under direct supervision, graduate students serve a residency or internship in health services administration, not to exceed two years. This may be done to fulfill the field-work requirement for a Master's degree, or independently of a formalized residency program, serving in the capacity of an intern.

TYPICAL DUTIES

1.Learns and assists in the interpretation of corporation policies.

2.Learns and assists in the preparation of budgets.
*
3.Learns and assists in the preparation of periodic reports.
*
4.Learns and assists in the administrative management, organization, and integration of these services with clinical phases of patient care.
5.Attends meetings of professional health services groups.

*ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Knowledge of the principles and practices of institutional management.
2.Knowledge of State laws and regulations affecting health services operations.
3.Ability to prepare and analyze reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Enrollment in a graduate program in Hospital Administration, Health Services Administration Health Care Administration, Health Records Administration, Nursing Administration, Public Health Administration, Community Health Administration, or closely related field, leading to a Master's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university.
