| 1. | Plans and directs a public health program to ensure equitable health outcomes across all County communities. |
| 2. | Develops and implements a strategic plan to mitigate health-related inequities and the associated risk factors among County demographics. |
| 3. | Researches, identifies, and analyzes health outcome disparities and relevant social factors. |
| 4. | Establishes departmental goals focusing on the improvement of health outcomes among at-risk communities. |
| 5. | Collaborates with public and private entities to implement initiatives promoting positive health practices and raising awareness of disparate health results and risk factors. |
| 6. | Designs and evaluates community outreach forums and education programs to further departmental goals. |
| 7. | Reviews applications for grant funding supporting departmental programs. |
| 8. | Represents the Department at meetings and conferences. |
1. | Extensive knowledge of public health programs which research and promote equitable health outcomes. |
2. | Extensive knowledge of health-related inequities and associated risk factors among County demographics. |
3. | Extensive knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of collecting, analyzing, and utilizing public health data. |
4. | Extensive knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of program planning and evaluation. |
5. | Knowledge of public and private organizations providing public health services. |
6. | Ability to express oneself effectively, both orally and in writing. |
7. | Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, departmental administrators, municipal administrators, community groups, and the general public. |
1. | Possession of Doctoral degree in public health, social work, nursing, psychology, or health related field;
OR |
2. | Possession of Master's degree in public health, social work, nursing, psychology or health related field
and
One year of satisfactory experience in a related human services program;
OR |
3. | Possession of Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, nursing, psychology or health related field
and
Three years of satisfactory experience in a related human services program. |
