GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Assists the Manager in supervising all Nassau County Bridge Authority operations, and implementing directives and instructions of the Board of the Nassau County Bridge Authority; performs related duties as required.

COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES
Under general supervision, the duties require the use of judgment in the direction and supervision of all operations of the Authority.

TYPICAL DUTIES
1.
Assists the Manager of Nassau County Bridge Authority, and assumes all responsibilities in his/her absence.
2.
Assists in supervising all operations.
3.
Prepares and schedules Authority work programs.
4.
Reviews utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment for Authority work programs, and makes recommendations to Manager.
5.
Acts as liaison officer with public agencies affecting Authority operations.
6.
Prepares Authority's annual reports, as required by law.
7.
Disseminates information to public agencies, prepares press releases, and acts as public information officer.
8.
Reviews Authority's insurance coverage to conform to requirements of law and bond resolutions.
9.
Prepares and processes claims for maritime and vehicular damage.
10.
Schedules and supervises public use of Authority's recreational facilities for handicapped persons.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1.Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of office management and personnel administration.
2.Knowledge of the rules, regulations, and legal terminology pertinent to insurance agreements.
3.Knowledge of the principles and practices of public relations.
4.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and other agencies.
5.Ability to express oneself effectively, both orally and in writing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Experience
Graduation from high school
and
Five years of supervisory or administrative experience in a public or private enterprise.
