1. | Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a major in Physical Education and Nine years of satisfactory aquatics experience which included a combination of coaching USSA or NCAA swim teams, promoting and overseeing water safety instruction programs, and conducting aquatic courses and/or competitions. A minimum of three years of this experience must have been as a level five swim coach; or |
2. | Master's degree in Physical Education from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university and Eight years of satisfactory experience as outlined above. |

NOTE: | 1. | Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a major in Recreation is acceptable, and requires a total of eleven years of satisfactory experience as outlined above. |
2. | Master's degree in Recreation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university is acceptable, and requires a total of nine years of satisfactory experience as outlined above. |
